    Journal

Daily journaling tied to your task replica: context for future-you.

    personalgtd

    Overview

A lightweight daily writing surface. Entries are Markdown, auto-saved, and linked to the tasks you completed that day. It is great for an end-of-day shutdown, a blockers log, or a private executive-function record.

    Highlights

The capabilities worth knowing before you dive in.

    • Markdown editor with slash commands and inline task references
    • Auto-links the day's completed tasks at save time
    • Calendar heatmap shows your write streak at a glance
    • Private to the author; never visible to other tenant members

    Important to know

Limits, permissions, and sharp edges to keep in mind.

    • Entries are end-to-end private inside the tenant: even tenant admins cannot read them.
    • Soft-deleted entries hard-purge after 30 days.

    How to use it

The primary workflow, start to finish.

    1. 1Open it with `g j` or click Journal in the sidebar.
    2. 2Type freely; `/` opens the slash menu for headings, lists, and task refs.
    3. 3Use Daily shutdown (/shutdown) to seed an entry with the day's closed-task summary.

    FAQ

Can an administrator read my journal?
No. Entries are private to their author inside the tenant, and that includes tenant administrators. The journal is intended as a personal record rather than a shared one.
How long do I have to restore a journal entry I deleted?
Thirty days. A soft-deleted entry is purged permanently after that, so recovery is possible within the window and not afterwards.
Do I have to link the work I did to the entry myself?
No. The tasks you completed that day are linked at save time, so an entry written at the end of the day carries the record of what closed without you listing it.
