    Huddles

Drop into a live audio room, or leave a recording for people in other hours.

    collab

    Overview

Huddles covers the two shapes a quick conversation takes. Live is a set of audio rooms you can drop into without scheduling anything, for the question that takes ninety seconds and would otherwise become a meeting. Recordings is the asynchronous half: record your screen, browse what colleagues have recorded, and play one back with comments anchored to the moment they refer to. Between them they cover a team spread across time zones, where the same conversation has to work both live and hours later.

    Highlights

The capabilities worth knowing before you dive in.

    • Live audio rooms you can start or drop into without scheduling anything
    • Screen recordings for the same conversation held asynchronously
    • Comments anchored to a moment in a recording, so feedback points at what it is about
    • A browsable library, so a recording is findable later rather than lost in a chat thread

    Important to know

Limits, permissions, and sharp edges to keep in mind.

    • A room is live. Nothing said in it is captured unless somebody records, and a room is not a meeting record.
    • A recording is kept and is watchable by whoever it is shared with. Treat it as you would anything else you publish.
    • Audio and screen capture need browser permission, and a browser that refuses is a browser setting rather than an Atlas fault.
    • For a meeting that needs an agenda, minutes and action items, use Meetings. Huddles is deliberately the lighter of the two.

    How to use it

The primary workflow, start to finish.

    1. 1Open Huddles. Live shows the rooms currently open.
    2. 2Start a room, or drop into one that is already running.
    3. 3For a conversation that does not need everybody at once, switch to Recordings and record your screen instead.
    4. 4Watch a colleague's recording and leave a comment anchored to the moment you are talking about.

    FAQ

    Is a huddle recorded?
Not unless somebody records it. A live room is a conversation, not a meeting record. Use Meetings when the conversation needs a record.
When should I use Meetings instead?
When it needs an agenda, minutes, or action items that become tasks. Huddles is the lighter tool on purpose.
    Why can nobody hear me?
Almost always a browser permission. Audio and screen capture require your browser to grant access, and that is a setting Atlas cannot change for you.
    What is a time-anchored comment?
A comment attached to a moment in the recording, so feedback points at the exact thing it is about rather than describing where to look.

    Automate this module

Everything on this screen is scriptable. Drive it from the REST API, or let an AI agent run it through the MCP server.
