    Goals

OKR-style objectives and key results with automatic rollup.

    Open module/goals
    planning

    Overview

Create objectives and attach measurable key results. Progress on key results rolls up to parent objectives as a deterministic mean of children, with no weights and no manual syncing.

    Highlights

The capabilities worth knowing before you dive in.

    • Parent objective progress equals the mean of its child key-result progress
    • Key-result progress is clamp(current / target, 0, 1)
    • Link tasks to goals so closing a task bumps the key result automatically
    • Cycles (quarterly or custom date windows) give the review a rhythm

    Important to know

Limits, permissions, and sharp edges to keep in mind.

    • A key-result target with no current value defaults to 0%. Update the current value to move the needle.
    • Archiving a goal removes it from dashboards but preserves its history.

    How to use it

The primary workflow, start to finish.

    1. 1Create an objective, then add 2-5 key results with measurable targets.
    2. 2Link supporting tasks to each key result so closing them advances the metric.
    3. 3Review at the end of each cycle: roll forward the unhit key results or archive them.

    FAQ

Can I weight my key results?
Not yet. Rollup is an unweighted mean today. Weighted key results ship in a future release.
Why does a key result show no progress even though work has happened?
A key result with no current value reads as zero per cent. Progress is computed from the current value against the target, so the current value has to be updated for the objective above it to move.
What happens to a goal I archive at the end of a quarter?
It leaves the dashboards and keeps its history. Archiving is how a finished objective stops competing for attention without deleting the record of what was achieved.
