    Knowledge

    Notion

Index Notion pages and databases so engineering docs and PRDs show up in Atlas search and task context.

    AuthIntegration tokenUpdatesPollingAvailable

    What this connector does

    • Index Notion pages and databases the integration is invited to.
    • Surface Notion search results inside Atlas.
    • Link Atlas tasks to Notion pages with two-way titles.
    • Listen for page update events where available.

    Before you begin

    • You are a Notion workspace owner or admin.
    • You can create internal integrations on the workspace.
    • You have a sandbox page or database to validate access.

    Get your credentials

    1

    Open the Notion integrations page

Sign in with the workspace owner. notion.so/my-integrations

    2

    Create a new internal integration

Name it Atlas Connector and associate it with the workspace.

    3

    Copy the internal integration secret

Notion shows the secret once. Copy it into the Atlas Notion connector settings page.

    4

    Share pages with the integration

Open the pages or databases Atlas should read, click Share, and invite Atlas Connector. The integration only sees content it is invited to.

    5

    Run the first sync

Back in Atlas, click Connect, then Sync now. The connector status should change to Connected.

    Required scopes and permissions

    Read contentread_content
    Update contentupdate_content
    Insert contentinsert_content

    Setup checklist

    1. Create the provider app in a sandbox or development workspace.
    2. Add the Atlas redirect URL to the provider app configuration.
    3. Copy the client id, client secret, or API key.
    4. Paste the credentials into the Atlas connector settings page.
    5. Click Connect and complete the provider sign-in screen.
    6. Run Test connection from the connector page to verify health.

    Troubleshooting

    • object_not_found

The integration was not invited to the page or database. Share it from Notion.

    • unauthorized

The integration secret was rotated. Generate a new one and update Atlas.

    • rate_limited

Notion limits requests to 3 per second per integration. Atlas backs off automatically.

    Webhooks

Notion does not offer public webhooks at the time of writing. Atlas polls invited pages on a 5 minute cadence to keep content fresh.

    Events Atlas listens for

    • Page updated (polled)
    • Database row added (polled)
    • Page archived (polled)

    Disconnect and data deletion

    1. Click Disconnect on the Atlas Notion connector page.
    2. Open My integrations in Notion and delete the Atlas Connector integration.
    3. Atlas removes cached page metadata within 24 hours of disconnect.

Once you have the credentials above, paste them into the live connector page to finish connecting Notion.
