    What this connector does

    • Sync Intercom contacts and companies into Atlas Growth records.
    • Mirror conversation events into the customer timeline.

    Before you begin

    • You are an Intercom workspace admin.
    • Your plan allows building developer apps.
    • You have a test workspace for first validation.

    Get your credentials

    Open Intercom developer hub

    Sign in with the admin account. Intercom developer hub

    Create a new app

    Click New app, name it Atlas Connector.

    Add the Atlas redirect URL

    Under Authentication, set Redirect URL to https://YOUR-ATLAS-HOST/oauth/callback/intercom.

    Add scopes

    Pick Read users and companies, Write users and companies, Read conversations, Read admins.

    Copy the client id and secret

    Open Basic information and copy Client ID and Client Secret into the Atlas Intercom connector settings page.

    Setup checklist

    1. Create the provider app in a sandbox or development workspace.
    2. Add the Atlas redirect URL to the provider app configuration.
    3. Copy the client id, client secret, or API key.
    4. Paste the credentials into the Atlas connector settings page.
    5. Click Connect and complete the provider sign-in screen.
    6. Run Test connection from the connector page to verify health.

    Troubleshooting

    • token_revoked

      Refresh token expired or revoked. Reconnect from Atlas.

    • Missing scope

      Add the missing scope under Authentication and reinstall the app on the workspace.

    • rate_limit_exceeded

      Intercom limits to 1000 requests per minute per workspace. Atlas backs off automatically.

    Webhooks

    Atlas registers Intercom topic subscriptions and validates the X-Hub-Signature header on every event.

    Disconnect and data deletion

    1. Click Disconnect on the Atlas Intercom connector page.
    2. Open Settings, Authorized apps in Intercom and revoke Atlas Connector.
    3. Atlas removes cached Intercom data within 24 hours of disconnect.

    Once you have the credentials above, paste them into the live connector page to finish connecting Intercom.
