    Module guide

    Comments

    Overview

Every task surfaces a comment thread. Comments render sanitized Markdown, support @mentions (which notify, and can create tasks when configured), and accept file drops via the attachment pipeline.

    Highlights

The capabilities worth knowing before you dive in.

    • Rich-text editor: Markdown, mentions, and slash commands
    • Optimistic posting with an offline queue
    • Edited and deleted markers preserved for audit

    Important to know

Limits, permissions, and sharp edges to keep in mind.

    • Deleted comments are tombstoned; the audit row keeps the original body.
    • Mentions use the typeahead; raw @ strings do not notify.

    How to use it

The primary workflow, start to finish.

    1. 1Open any task drawer, then the Comments tab.
    2. 2Type @ to mention someone, or drop files to attach them.
    3. 3Press Cmd+Enter to post.

    FAQ

Does deleting a comment remove what it said?
Not from the record. A deleted comment is tombstoned in the thread and the audit row keeps the original body. Treat a comment as something said rather than something erasable.
Why did my mention not notify anybody?
Mentions are created through the typeahead. Typing an at sign and a name by hand produces text that looks like a mention and does nothing. Choose the person from the list.
    Can I comment while offline?
Yes. Posting is optimistic and queues while you are offline, so the comment appears immediately and is sent when the connection returns.
