    Calendar

Year, month, week and day views with holidays and connected calendars.

    Open module/calendar
    coreplanning

    Overview

Tasks with a due date render on the calendar alongside public holidays for your country and events pulled from connected Google and Microsoft calendars. A segmented control moves between year, month, week and day on a wide screen, and a mode toggle does the same on a narrow one. The view you choose is part of the address, so a week can be sent to somebody, a day can be bookmarked, and a refresh brings back what you were looking at.

    Highlights

The capabilities worth knowing before you dive in.

    • Four views in one screen: year, month, week and day
    • The chosen view lives in the address bar, so it can be linked, bookmarked and survives a reload
    • Weekend shading, past-day dimming and a today highlight
    • Holiday chips render inline on each day cell, from a built-in catalogue for India and Singapore and a public feed for the rest of the world
    • Google and Microsoft events appear beside Atlas tasks once a calendar is connected
    • An agenda side panel summarises whichever day you select
    • Auto-schedule applies the constraint solver to the days in view
    • M, W and D switch to the month, week and day views from the keyboard

    Important to know

Limits, permissions, and sharp edges to keep in mind.

    • Holidays are fetched for every year the grid shows, which is why a January view lists the previous December's holidays. The public feed answers for the years 1970 to 2100.
    • Week start comes from your Calendar settings rather than from the browser. Sunday is the default, and a region configured for a Friday to Saturday weekend starts the week on Saturday.
    • Holiday lookup caches per country and year. Changing the tenant country in Settings and then Calendar refreshes on the next page load.
    • OAuth refresh tokens live in encrypted storage. Disconnect from Settings and then Calendar when a user leaves.
    • Dragging an unscheduled task on to a time slot is done on the week planner at /calendar/week, which is a separate screen from the week view here.

    How to use it

The primary workflow, start to finish.

    1. 1Move between year, month, week and day with the segmented control on a wide screen, or the mode toggle on a narrow one. Copy the address afterwards to share the view you are looking at.
    2. 2Use the arrow buttons to move one unit at a time, and Today to come back.
    3. 3Set your country in Settings and then Calendar so holidays appear.
    4. 4Add a Google or Microsoft calendar from Connect Google Calendar on this screen, or from Settings and then Calendar. Both start the same flow.
    5. 5To put a single task on your connected calendar, open the task and use Sync to calendar in its detail panel.
    6. 6To drag unscheduled work on to a time slot, open the week planner at /calendar/week.

    FAQ

Can I send somebody a link to a particular week?
Yes. The view is part of the address, so copying the address bar while you are on a week sends that week. The same is true of the day, month and year views.
Why are no holidays showing for my country?
A built-in catalogue covers India and Singapore, because the upstream feed has gaps there. Every other country is served from that public feed. If the feed is offline the calendar still renders; it simply treats the holidays list as empty.
Why does an all-day event show no time?
Because it has none. An all-day event from Google or Microsoft covers whole days rather than a moment, so it is listed as All day, and it appears on every day it spans rather than only the first.
Why do my Google events not show up?
First make sure a connection is listed in Settings and then Calendar. If the token has expired, choose Reconnect. External events sync on page load, so refresh to pull the latest window.
Why does my week start on the wrong day?
Week start comes from your Calendar settings rather than from the browser. Sunday is the default, and a region configured for a Friday to Saturday weekend starts the week on Saturday.
How do I stop a departing colleague's calendar syncing?
Disconnect the account from Settings and then Calendar. Refresh tokens are held in encrypted storage, and disconnecting is what removes the grant, rather than deleting the person's Atlas account.
