    Board

    Kanban with tenant-defined swimlanes.

    Open module/board
    coreplanning

    Overview

The board renders your tasks as cards across customizable columns. Columns are defined per tenant in Settings > Board columns. Drag a card to change its status, and the action is audited and synced across every open replica in real time.

    Highlights

The capabilities worth knowing before you dive in.

    • Add, rename, reorder, and delete columns from settings
    • Empty-column delete guard prevents orphaned tasks
    • Real-time sync across tabs via CRDT and SyncAction
    • Per-column counters, with opt-in WIP limits per project

    Important to know

Limits, permissions, and sharp edges to keep in mind.

    • Deleting a column that still holds open tasks returns 409 and tells you how many tasks to move first.
    • Custom column keys are lowercase and stable. Renaming a column changes only its display label.

    How to use it

The primary workflow, start to finish.

    1. 1Open Settings > Board columns to customize your lanes.
    2. 2Drag a card to a new lane on the board to change its status.
    3. 3Shift-click a card to open the detail drawer without navigating away.

    FAQ

    Can I have per-project boards?
Columns are tenant-wide today. Per-project overrides are planned for a future iteration, so follow the #board-columns channel for progress.
    Where do WIP limits live?
Per-column WIP limits ship as a column setting. When a column overshoots its limit, the counter lights up red and dragging a new card in opens a confirm.
Why can I not delete a board column?
The column still holds open tasks. The refusal is a 409 and it tells you how many tasks to move first, so nothing is stranded in a column that has gone.
